At the market

I didn't know Bloomington had a strawberry season. Last week: none. This week: half the stands. Maybe it's the getting there before 11[1]. That said, one of my two $4 boxes isn't very good -- bland and watery berries. Avoid the green cardboardy boxes, go for the clear plastic.

Now to see if I can wash lettuce to the point of non-grittiness.

High of 87 today. I miss San Francisco. Or free air conditioning. Well, I could buy an A/C unit.
