"My personal favorite came from the doctor back in '84 who made national news by grafting ape and baboon hearts to human patients. The hearts regularly failed, so someone asked him if he'd bothered to check for cross-bloodtype rejection to see if that was a factor. It turns out that he never bothered to do so, as he was a young-earth creationist who didn't believe that apes and humans could ever have any common factors with bodily fluids."
