As of 2007, the top one percent of households held a whopping 33.8% of
US assets. This came to 22 trillion dollars or (assuming household size
of ~ 3 persons) about $20 million per household. Choose your parents
well!

Haven't done much of verbal interest, just gone for long walks and read Robin Hobb. Haddock was eh, and prices put me off the other seafood dinners available. I just had kangaroo, though. Basically a lean red meat, no idea if I'd distinguish it from beef in a taste test.

Nice to relax here, though feeling I should get up for breakfast has prevented me from sleeping in as fully as I'd like. I think it'll be time to leave tomorrow, though; I've now done all the walks available, and the restaurant variety is rather limited. Nice place, wouldn't want to live here.

Edinburgh for 3 days, then not sure what. Torn between poking around Leeds and Bath and Cardiff, and just bugging out of the country for the Continent. Think I'll probably pass on Ireland.

Re-reading Rose Daughter for the first time. I think I still prefer Beauty. Not sure why, perhaps preferring the bookish Beauty to the gardener one. I'm not sure why McKinley told this story twice. Later rose fetish?

At breakfast people thought they'd seen me on an island I haven't been. At lunch I saw a doppleganger for anime-Jenny, and overheard people talking about "Damien". TV in the dinner bar has just mentioned "Damien Devine". Weird.

Bar has really good chocolate mint ice cream, this is my second night for it. Not Frango Mint, but good.
