Still not sick. Still in LA. Still looking for work, not necessarily in LA.
Finished Princess and the Goblin.
Finished Somali. Ending wasn't too surprising, but seems to make a scene in the OP a lie. Based on an ongoing and stalled manga, I hear. Recommended if you like Ghibl sweetness with a shadow of doom. I give it 9/10.
Finished Eizouken. Too much unexplained weirdness for my taste to be perfect, I give it 8/10.
A friend trying to set up a peer-peer freeciv game with her sister introduced me to ZeroTier One and the existence of STUN and "hole punching" for connecting two computers behind NAT, i.e. all home computers these days. (Ah, I recall having my own static IP off DSL in 1999 San Francisco...)
Huh, my grocery bill is no lower than usual, despite trying to veer cheap and scavenging lots of old frozen food. OTOH my eating out expense has collapsed, unsurprisingly. Total food spending is likewise down, and a lot of my March spending is stockpiling so the actual spending per day might really be down.
One time I met Jane last summer, she apparently told her daughter that I would probably be wearing a tie-dye shirt, which in fact I was. Today I was talking with Jane on the phone, and heard the daughter ask "is that your tie-dye friend?" Hah!
Man is this a good time to be an introvert. Still sucks though.
