covid fireworks

Where I'm staying in LA, I'm surrounded right now by what I assume are a whole bunch of private fireworks. I just came in from an hour of watching; they're surprisingly good and high altitude, coming from lots of different locations. I was twisting my head like an owl trying to see everything. Good variety, too.

Eventually got boring though, especially without knowing a set finish time (probably not for a few more hours, if not all night! 9:20 PM as I write this, I went out when it wasn't even dark yet...)

Still, I got a good view just down the block from my house, for no effort. #covidsilverlining
