The details are like a liberal passion play. The shooting may have been triggered by the cutting of his food stamps (and he hates liberals, oh the irony), i.e. economic desperation, also fueled by lack of a job and 'ageism'. Seems like an intended suicide by cop, expecting to get shot by the cops, but instead of being shot by cops or congregants he was rushed and subdued by the churchgoers. Non-violent victory!

Not that I'm complaining about them stopping him, but if they rushed him, grabbed him, and forcibly prevented him from doing as he willed, it was hardly "non-violent." A more accurate description would be minimally violent.

Regardless, this is why it's silly that they take our scissors away when we fly. People in this country will never again let someone with a box cutter fly a plane into a building, so let granny have her knitting needles back. Please?
