So, I've kept up with my friendslist but not with real news. Anyone want to tell me major news I should know? Seems Obama just picked a VP? You can skip the Olympics unless something non-sports related happened.

I think you got it. I was surprised myself! He just picked Joe Biden, which seems to be going over reasonably well. Liberals are complaining cause apparently he called Obama a "the first nice-looking, articulate black candidate" many months ago, and no one is looking at his positions. But hey, that's American politics for you!

McCain still hasn't picked a candidate.
