Still burning through backlog:

* Effect of wind on energy prices. This older and longer article gives more detail and context.
* Krugman on how Democrats and Republicans split on immigration. Also, finance too big. Why Georgia's banking crisis is worse than Texas': Texas actually has better regulation, much like Canada vis a vis the US. Georgia has lots of small banks, but avoiding "too big to fail" doesn't help when lots of small banks fail at once.

* Measuring epistemic closure; crisis as a shadow banking run; Wall Street doesn't understand Wall Street; GOP's enablement of tax fraud
* Tea party and Perot: Not very similar. Perot's supporters really were more of a disgruntled middle, Tea party is fringe Republicans in a dither. Endorsed by David Duke, BTW.
* Tom Udall suggests breaking the filibuster.
* America's lack of food infrastructure.
* Results of the Colorado Springs cuts in things like streetlights.
* Oklahoma's incoherent but bad attack on abortion.
* Harper, in his continuing bid to make Canada more like Bush's America, objects to funding abortion foreign aid. Ally tells objectors to shut the f- up. Harper refuses to provide material on detainee treatment.

* Bush vs. the US Constitution: Scorecard! Not that Obama's being much better.

* GOP uses fake census form in fundraising.
* Imagine if the Tea Party were black

* Gay animals and "super uncles.
