The hairy cows are slow to mature, good tasting but expensive to rear, can live 40-50 years.
Passed over longest river, river Tay, possibly best salmon fishing in Europe. Biggest salmon was 5.5 feet, caught by a woman; claims male salmon go in a frenzy on smelling female pheromones, so be a woman angler or have a woman knead your fishing fly. That'd be some impressive genetic conservation if true.
Crossing the Firth (estuary) of Forth (river). Our bridge is a suspension bridge that opened in 1964, is rusting through, and engineers say they can't repair it. £2.3 billion to replace which no one wants to pay for, though you'd think the 24 million people borne every year would procide incentive.
To the left was the Forth Bridge, a cantilever bridge from the 19th century and viewed for a while as the Eighth Wonder of the World -- first large cantilever bridge? 1.5 miles long, carries trains, still standing strong.
In outer Edinburgh 6:58, how long to the center? 15 minutes, 19:13 arrival despite losing an hour.
