I keep forgetting points, even with stream of consciousness. Like the signs for a Pasadena Roof Orchestra. Looks like a jazz thing. I went to college in Pasadena and don't associate it with jazz, so it's doubly odd to see it here.

I was surprised to see a traffic light on an off road, then I realized it was to regulate a one-lane road.

Civilization! Two lane highway, often with a footpath, even paved. Seems erratic.

The hairy cows are slow to mature, good tasting but expensive to rear, can live 40-50 years.

Passed over longest river, river Tay, possibly best salmon fishing in Europe. Biggest salmon was 5.5 feet, caught by a woman; claims male salmon go in a frenzy on smelling female pheromones, so be a woman angler or have a woman knead your fishing fly. That'd be some impressive genetic conservation if true.

Crossing the Firth (estuary) of Forth (river). Our bridge is a suspension bridge that opened in 1964, is rusting through, and engineers say they can't repair it. £2.3 billion to replace which no one wants to pay for, though you'd think the 24 million people borne every year would procide incentive.

To the left was the Forth Bridge, a cantilever bridge from the 19th century and viewed for a while as the Eighth Wonder of the World -- first large cantilever bridge? 1.5 miles long, carries trains, still standing strong.

In outer Edinburgh 6:58, how long to the center? 15 minutes, 19:13 arrival despite losing an hour.

Friday. Sleep was decent but insufficient. Finding a room in Glasgow is hard, finally got one. National Gallery today, then train over.
