Today's unpleasant discovery

A carpet cleaning van across the street is louder than an air conditioner right by my bed, even in an apartment on the interior edge of a courtyard.

I tried telling myself the loud buzz was like the sound of an airplane, and I guess that kind of worked, because I woke up later, hence had fallen asleep, and hell I don't sleep that easily on planes! But now I'm awake again and OMG, is it even legal for a business to be this loud? It's basically "go the fck away all day" for the entire block.
