new fruit

Had my first star fruit just now. Tasted weird at first, felt tastier by the end. Either getting used to it or getting to parts less past their use-by date, since I'd let it brown a bit.

Also having jackfruit chips from TJ. Tastes like banana chips, or like the rice bran oil used for both. Not that I've had raw rice bran oil, but there's a lot more fat on the panel than there is in the raw jackfruit nutrition panel.

Hmm, I guess it does taste fruity and somewhat different from banana.
