They want public affirmation, they want access to public funds and resources

Wait, what? Doesn't everyone? Including people in straight marriages.

Also Mr. King, this isn't the 1950's, most people aren't terrified by the word "socialism" anymore. You should have gone with gay marriage is terrorism.

Well, his voters are probably still terrified; it certainly gets thrown around enough on the conservative side of LJ space.
