I'm trying to figure out how to finally visit my parents in Chicago in the next week or two. No Greyhound, so I have the options of flying, or 6am taxis to downtown Indy, or the airport shuttle and then taxi or shuttle to downtown Indy... sigh.

Hardly anyone in swing club tonight, especially anyone female. I got in one dance and bowed out.

The CS cluster has gone through some upgrade, and programs necessary for my work can not be found. Win. By which I mean, Fail.

i can offer you a ride to chicago either on friday night or saturday morning - we have to return my daughter to her school-year home as summer begins to wane. i have no idea exactly when i'm leaving yet, but that gives you room to offer a preference, too. i'm squinting at my rear shocks right now - my poor car may argue a little with four adult-sized people in her, but we would love to help if we could. myself, my man and my teenager in a small bimmer - we're not exactly normal, there's not a ton of space, but we all do what we can. don't know where you're going, but i have to head up into mchenry county on the wisconsin border and can re-route any direction you need to go. let me know - comments reroute to email, so i'll know if you respond.

damien, i will try calling you later on, too, but i've had to shift my plans to leave tonight. my brother and his family are flying back home to florida earlier than i thought tomorrow, so if i want to catch them at all before christmas, i have to make it up to the wisconsin border before 11am. (i'm not really the type to start driving at 6am on a saturday, you see.) sorry for the slipshod planning on my part - it kind of sucks for me to offer and then have to change things around like this. :\

have a good time at gencon, man - i'm a little jealous, i must say. do you ever attend windycon up in the chicago burbs? that's my old stomping grounds, though things have changed a lot in the last few years.
