Huh, I thought it was straightforward. Nothing deep or angsty; I was just wondering who was still paying attention to LJ, especially in a timely fashion. So there's "yes" and "yes, but I was late". Logically there's no need for a "no" option, except to allow people to play around.
ETA: it may help to know that the 'votes' are visible, and apparently in the order of voting though without a vote time. So I'm not getting just meaningless numbers, but an actual census. I'd figured clicking a vote button was less effort than typing a reply.
I actually tried to post several hours ago, but I was getting a weird error message. Turns out LJ thought I was logged in for purposes of reading my friends list, but logged me out when I tried to view the poll. Go figure.
No, just an arbitrary timeliness boundary, not an arbitrary "pay attention or bad things happen" deadline.
And I've learned that the people I was spending the most time with in Bloomington apparently don't check LJ every day! Or at least not yesterday afternoon through now.
I've got two neko* LJ friends; I thought you were the one who posts more, until I wondered at the icon and paid attention to my notes. "Right, other one"
