For the first time in years, I noticed that the TJ employees don't all wear the same thing. They've all got T-shirts saying "Trader Joe's", and mostly with a hibiscus flower, but one had an experimental 'Crew' (with oars) shirt[1], and more to the point, of all the employees I could see at once -- up to 4 or 5, I think -- none were wearing the same color.
Seems like a nice touch. I've never had trouble identifying the employees, but they get to avoid looking like drones.
*googles* That's right, they used to be famous for Hawaiian shirts. These were solid color, though. Like the ones here.
Hmm, I guess a lot of them where the t-shirt over a long-sleeved white shirt. Not sure if that's part of the quasi-uniform or just a convergent adaptation to air conditioning or a chilled back room. I think all the moving around would keep me warm enough...
