I found this list of ages of the US presidents when they took office. http://www.stuffaboutstates.com/presidents/presidents_age.htm

I note a partisan split:

D:
Obama 47
Clinton 46
Carter 52
LBJ 55
JFK 43
Truman 60
FDR 51

R:
GWB 54
GHWB 64
Reagan 69 (the oldest of all)
Ford 61
Nixon 56
Ike 62

Hoover 54 to make the list lengths symmetrical, but in 2017 you'd have to be 84 simply to have been born when he left office in 1933. Biden is the oldest maybe-candidate and he was born in 1942.

Ages in 2017 (when the 2016 winner takes office, ignoring when birthdays actually are so feel free to subtract 1)
Biden 75
Clinton and Romney 70
Warren 68
Jeb Bush 65

The other GOP potentials are a fair bit younger; Christie would be 55.

Seems odd the the Democratic line up is so old, at least 7-8 years older than the oldest D winner back through FDR.

What happens, let's not forget that Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney are the same age, with Romney being some months older; if you hear any Republican suggesting Clinton will be too old, while supporting Romney, that'll be pure sexism or deception. http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/01/15/mitt-romney-and-hillary-clinton-are-the-same-ag/202148
