Tikkun rabbi on why Kerry lost: because while Americans are apparently not bright enough to tell when Bush is lying to them, or the ridiculousness of someone who went AWOL from the National Guard attacking the war record of someone who actually went to Vietnam, they can tell when they're being condescended to by Democrats selecting a candidate they didn't like much or agree with (pro-war, pro-PATRIOT Kerry) over ones who could have really expressed liberal values (Dean, Kucinich) on the grounds of getting elected by those Americans. Note: conservatives in the 1960s didn't run to the center, they kept trying until they dragged the political center to them.
And I've discovered The Pain -- When Will it End? webcomic. There is so much joy there. It started off just weird, but has been charmingly political since 9/11, along with biting commentaries. Apropos the Kerry thing, I give you the Sex Party:
