It's not my CPU fan making the whining sound this time, but the actual power supply. Ow, my ears.
In other news, my bike got its tune-up, and since the grips were getting really disgusting I had those replaced. The store people said stuff about rubber degrading in UV and gave me... more rubber. Which I noticed feels grotty even brand new. I asked for alternatives, was told about people using road tape, but found cork grips, which not only feel better but cost less than the rubber. Perhaps they rot in rain, but we'll see.
