Used my black beans to make my first veg chili. (My family's tomato meat sauce probably qualifies as a kind of Cincinatti chili, though we never called it that.) Olive oil, onions, garlic, chopped carrots and celery, canned tomatoes, beans, "Italian seasoning", "chili powder". Came out pretty good, though I'm not used to celery in things. (I'd heard of some soup trifecta, mirepoix, onions carrots celery, figured I'd try it.)
Eating some day old chili before some nuked potatoes was not good for the potatoes. Even with various seasonings they seemed very bland.
