In my previous post I expressed disappointment in their pizza. But I had had it after 20-30 minute delivery, cold, and microwaved. Today I took the last two pieces and crisped them in a skillet (with olive oil), starting on high heat then lowering and covering with a bigger skillet. (I don't have a proper lid, sadly.) And waiting until the cheese was sort and kind of melted again.

It was actually pretty tasty! Better than when it first arrived! Huh. Still not great but heating the cheese "properly" made a big difference.

On the down side, the crust bottom had passed through 'crisp' into 'burnt' and I ended up mostly scraping the top off. (And PM went high again, unsurprisingly.) Next time maybe just keep it on medium heat? Or use the oven, but a full size oven for two slices of pizza seemed overkill, plus I'd been reading articles about NO2 again.

If I'd known how long I'd end up staying here I might have gotten a toaster oven.

Perhaps similarly, I rarely bother ordering delivery fries, they're so much better fresh. I try rejuvenating them in an air fryer but, well, it's an improvement.

Back when I played, one disc golf course was near a Papa Gino's. That was pretty tasty, and I was impressed by how little grease it had. (I forget if we often ordered beer, like we did at Outback Steakhouse. I do remember once there was a table where a baby kept making choking noises. Rather disconcerting, and I was glad to hear someone at that table say how the sounds were kind of freaking her out.)

Then I tried one in my town. Wow, rather greasy. I'd expect results to be more consistent than that. Surprised me.

well, maybe not non-greasy, but less greasy, but on the hands and in the mouth.

Oh, there is a Serious Eats pizza recipe requiring no kneading and definitely no throw/spin technique. Pretty easy. Pretty tasty.

Glad reheating in the skillet made it better than it arrived!
