Reading about Bjornaer Mysteries in Ars Magica stuff, I ran across the phrase "Great Beast", as in a possible endstate of Bjornaer magi. The phrase sounded familiar. So I googled. Lots of stuff on Aleister Crowley -- that's not it. Lots of stuff on Revelation -- nope. Lots of music stuff -- not it either. Finally, after blocking many terms from my search, I found

Yep, that's it. Well, I didn't know all that, and don't want to now, but I'm pretty sure I read a comic with Great Beasts in it. So I semi-successfully recalled stuff from an Alpha Flight or Northstar comic book I read in the computer lab at Caltech, 8-13 years ago. And I don't read those sorts of comic books often, so those neurons haven't been refreshed since then. While I have trouble remembering people met from a few months before.
