Some people use cartridge razors to shave. I was once of them.
Some use safety razors, extolling the clean shave and low cost.
Some use a straight razor, proud of their ability to not cut themselves.
I have taken to using disposable razors. Except, for nearly six months now, it has been the same razor. Not the same brand, but the same physical object. Only now is it starting to maybe lose its edge.
To be fair, this is unusual even in my experience, though it's not the first one to last 1-2 months of being used every other day.
I do think that to get such longevity, it's essential to use a single-blade. Multi-blade models invariably gunk up with hairs, despite attempts to rinse them out.
