missing modern art

Based on my limited experience in Modern Art museums and galleries, you would think no one was doing traditional oil paintings any more.

Maybe the title should be "*skipping* modern art".

Quite possibly. Modern Art is a specific type of art, and to the extent that it has a chronological definition, we are *well* out of the era Modern Art.

The current stuff in museums seems 'weird' in a way similar to older Modern Art, though. At least to this ignorant and infrequent visitor.
