Date: 2019-10-19 17:13 (UTC)From:I love decent British fish and chips. I ordered fish and chips in many places in the US over many years but only once (at a British-owned restaurant in Brooklyn) tasted anything that came even close to being that good, at least in terms of what I sought. Now you have me wondering about the typical Australian take on them.
In the US I found the Great Lakes to be adequate ocean analogues: proper swell, water all the way to the horizon, etc. I loved swimming in Lake Erie.
